YOUR TEAM FOR Clapham East

Erica Abu

Erica has lived in Clapham East all her life and cares deeply about the community that shaped her. She is a passionate grassroots activist, serving as a local school governor and working with a local women’s group to support and empower women. Erica is particularly committed to championing young people and helping them reach their full potential. She also volunteers in community food initiatives, distributing surplus food to residents experiencing hardship during the cost of living crisis. Erica wants every resident in Clapham East to feel supported, valued, and proud of the community they call home.

Chris Wongsosaputro

Chris is a long-time Labour activist and actively contributes to his community as Treasurer of a TRA and school governor. He started his career in accounting, working with clients including SMEs and the NHS. Chris now works for a public transport company committed to having a “zero emission fleet by 2035”. Like many in Clapham East, migration and cultural diversity form a part of his personal journey. His grandparents moved from China to Indonesia many years ago, arriving with very little. He moved from Indonesia to Singapore before settling in London in 2011. Chris would like to serve the residents of Clapham East and give back to the community that has supported him.
