YOUR TEAM FOR Clapham Common & Abbeville

Joe Briel

My name is Joe Briel. I’m a proud Geordie who has called Lambeth home for the past 12 years. As a former social worker and teacher, and now the founder of a social enterprise helping young people into creative careers, my work has always been rooted in helping others succeed. I bring energy, creativity and a practical approach to solving problems. Working alongside Labour councillor Alison Inglis-Jones, I’ve worked hard to tackle issues like fly-tipping, street cleanliness and community safety. Seeing Alison’s tenacious approach to casework and how she stands up for residents has been inspiring, and I’m determined to match that commitment to our community.

It would be a privilege to serve Clapham Common and Abbeville – the area I love. With my partner and I expecting our first child this year, I feel more invested than ever in making our neighbourhood safe and a great place to grow up.

Alison Inglis-Jones

Alison has lived in Clapham Common & Abbeville for over 30 years, raising her two sons in the area she proudly calls home. She is deeply embedded in the local community, serving on committees and as a trustee for a number of Clapham charities. Alison is also a regular volunteer on Clapham Common, supporting watering, tree and hedge planting, and litter picking. She has run a local foodbank and contributed to national consultations on the role of foodbanks in communities. As a councillor, Alison is committed to responding quickly and positively to residents’ concerns, with a focus on tackling housing issues, fly-tipping and crime.
