YOUR TEAM FOR Clapham Common & Abbeville

Joe Briel

Joe Briel is a proud Geordie who has called Lambeth home for the past 12 years. As a former social worker and teacher, and now the founder of a social enterprise helping young people into creative careers, his work has always been rooted in helping others succeed. Joe brings energy, creativity and a practical approach to solving problems, and has worked alongside Labour councillor Alison Inglis-Jones to tackle issues such as fly-tipping, street cleanliness and community safety. Inspired by her tenacious approach to casework and advocacy for residents, he is determined to match that commitment to the community. Joe would be proud to serve Clapham Common and Abbeville, the area he loves, and with his partner expecting their first child this year, he feels more invested than ever in making the neighbourhood safe and a great place to grow up.

Cllr Alison Inglis-Jones

Alison has lived in Clapham Common & Abbeville for over 30 years, raising her two sons in the area she proudly calls home. She is deeply embedded in the local community, serving on committees and as a trustee for a number of Clapham charities. Alison is also a regular volunteer on Clapham Common, supporting watering, tree and hedge planting, and litter picking. She has run a local foodbank and contributed to national consultations on the role of foodbanks in communities. As a councillor, Alison is committed to responding quickly and positively to residents’ concerns, with a focus on tackling housing issues, fly-tipping and crime.
