Cllr Sarbaz Barznji

Sarbaz Barznji has lived in Lambeth for all of his adult life. A structural engineer by profession and a local councillor for Brixton Acre Lane, his commitment to the community is deeply personal. Originally arriving in the UK as a child refugee, Sarbaz is passionate about fairness, opportunity, building a stronger Lambeth for everyone, and giving back to the community that welcomed him. In 2023–24, he served as Mayor of Lambeth, listening to residents from every background and championing the work of local charities and volunteers. Sarbaz and his wife are raising their two children here, and he cares deeply about the community he calls home. Sarbaz is standing to continue working hard for Brixton Acre Lane and all its residents.

Cllr David Bridson

David Bridson lives in the ward and has called Brixton home for over 10 years. He proudly serves as a councillor for Brixton Acre Lane. David is Lambeth’s Cabinet Member for Healthier Communities, leading work to tackle health inequalities, strengthen adult social care and support sanctuary seekers rebuilding their lives in our borough. He also leads the council’s work tackling rough sleeping, addiction and mental health. Outside his councillor role, David works for a national youth charity campaigning to build more genuinely affordable homes for young people and expand youth services. He also serves as a governor at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. David is standing in order to keep delivering every day for Brixton Acre Lane ward.

Bev Randall

Bev Randall has lived in Lambeth most of her life and is proud to call it home. She works as a Programme Manager at Mosaic Clubhouse in Brixton, supporting local people living with mental health challenges, and has spent more than 24 years working in mental health services. Bev raised her children here and is now seeing her grandchildren grow up in the same community. She is active in her local church and runs Adorable Blessings, a local baby bank helping families with clothes and essentials during the cost of living crisis. Bev is standing to give back to the community and stand up for Brixton Acre Lane ward.
