Brockwell Lido is a vital community asset that we must protect. But right now, things aren’t looking good for the operator and there’s a risk it could close its doors.
Lambeth Labour has been increasingly concerned about the Lido’s future, as the operator, Fusion, has not invested enough in it for several years.
We’re fighting to protect public access and secure its future for the community.
So we’re asking them to come with a credible plan to keep it open, or cooperate with the council and hand it back to public ownership so we can protect it for community use. The long term future of the lido should be for the benefit of the community, not the operator’s finances.
