Your Streets, Your Say: E-Bikes in Lambeth

We want to hear your views on e-bikes in Lambeth to inform our approach to parking and usage in our borough.

E-bikes are a popular means of transport in Lambeth, offering a sustainable, convenient travel option for residents. However, we know that challenges remain with parking and safety.

By the end of September 2025, there were over 6 million trips by dockless bikes. This is around 80% higher than last year. Lambeth is clearly at the heart of sustainable travel.

So we want you to have your say in our approach to improving them in Lambeth. We are in favour of e-bikes operating in our borough, but the companies must be held to account to ensure they are being used safely and appropriately, not blocking businesses, roads and driveways.

We have worked hard to increase the number of parking bays across the borough to tackle issues, but we want e-bike companies to pay for and enforce these.

The Council has a strong idea of the benefits and disadvantages associated with e-bike operations, but we are keen to hear fresh views. Your feedback is crucial in helping us shape a balanced and effective approach.
