THE ANNOUNCEMENT

Pride in our neighbourhood starts with cleaner streets and we’ll go further and faster if re-elected in May 2026.

Labour will protect weekly recycling and food waste collections and fortnightly black bin collections.

We will introduce free community skip days in every neighbourhood, helping you get rid of bulky waste items for free.

We will install more CCTV and take tougher action against fly tippers by increasing on the spot fly-tipping fines to £1,200.

And you told us you want more enforcement action against badly parked e-bikes, we have listened and demanded the companies do more, but we will also introduce new council enforcement action on e-bikes.

Last year alone, the council investigated over 2,000 fly-tipping incidents and took action against offenders, alongside a tough enforcement approach against utility companies across Lambeth.

Despite well over a decade of Tory/Lib Dem austerity, Lambeth has continued to prioritise frontline services and taken decisive action to strengthen its financial position in recent years, creating the stability needed to make responsible long-term commitments.

We are now asking residents for a mandate to deliver this in the next term.
